Locations
Manage the geographic places used across trips, products, and itineraries.
Locations are the geographic places your business operates in and around. Every destination, pickup point, airport, city, or region you reference in trips and products is defined here. Locations serve as a shared directory so you define a place once and reuse it everywhere.
How It Works
You create a location by choosing its type (country, city, airport, etc.), entering a name, and optionally filling in address details, coordinates, and transport codes. Locations can be active or inactive — only active locations appear when building trips and products.
Key Concepts
Location Types
Each location has a type that describes what kind of place it is:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Country | A nation or sovereign state |
| Region | A geographic area within a country (e.g., South Iceland, Tuscany) |
| City | A city or town |
| District | A neighborhood or subdivision within a city |
| Place | A specific point of interest, landmark, or venue |
| Address | A precise street address |
| Custom | Any location that doesn't fit the other types |
Location Details
Each location can include:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The internal name |
| Display Name | The name shown to customers (if different from the internal name) |
| Description | Additional details about the location |
| Coordinates | Latitude, longitude, and altitude |
| Address | Full address fields (street, city, postal code, state, country) |
| Timezone | The location's timezone, used for scheduling |
Transport Codes
For locations that represent airports, train stations, or ports, you can store standard transport codes:
| Code | Description |
|---|---|
| IATA Code | 3-letter airport code (e.g., KEF, LHR) |
| ICAO Code | 4-letter aviation code (e.g., BIKF, EGLL) |
| Station Code | Railway station identifier |
| Port Code | Maritime port identifier |
These codes are used by integrations (such as Amadeus) to match external booking data to your locations.
External Identifiers
You can also link locations to external mapping services:
- Google Place ID — Links to a Google Maps location
- OpenStreetMap ID — Links to an OSM node or way
Custom Attributes
Locations support a flexible attributes field for storing additional data specific to your business needs.
Common Tasks
Creating a Location
- Navigate to Data > Locations
- Click Add
- Choose the location type
- Enter the name and any display name
- Fill in address and coordinate details as needed
- Add transport codes if applicable (IATA, ICAO, station, port)
- Set the timezone
- Mark as active
- Click Save
Organizing Locations
- Use location types consistently to make filtering easier

Deactivating a Location
Set a location to inactive when you no longer operate there. Inactive locations remain in the system for historical records but won't appear in dropdown menus when building new trips or products.
