Series
Group related trips together under a series for easier browsing and management.
A trip series groups related trips together — typically multiple departures of the same travel experience throughout a season or year. For example, "Iceland Adventure" might be a series containing trips departing in June, July, and August. Series help both your staff and customers find all available dates for a particular experience.
How It Works
You create a series and then assign trips to it. The series automatically tracks aggregated statistics across all its trips: how many trips it contains, total turnover, total participants, and the first and last departure dates. When customers browse your portal, they can see all available departures for a series in one place.
Trips within a series share the same name and code by default — when you create a new trip and assign it to a series, the trip inherits the series name and code.
Series Properties
Each series has:
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The series name (e.g., "Iceland Adventure 2026") |
| Code | A short identifier code |
| Slug | The URL-friendly identifier used on the public portal |
| Bookable | Whether the series is available for booking on the public portal |
| Active | Whether the series is active and visible |
Aggregated Statistics
These are calculated automatically from the trips in the series:
| Statistic | Description |
|---|---|
| Trip Count | Number of trips in the series |
| Total Turnover | Combined order revenue across all trips |
| Total Participants | Total number of participants across all trips |
| First Departure | Earliest departure date among all trips |
| Last Departure | Latest departure date among all trips |
Common Tasks
Creating a Series
- Navigate to the Series page (under Trips)
- Click Add
- Enter the series name, code, and slug
- Set whether the series is bookable and active
- Click Save
Assigning Trips to a Series
From a trip's Settings tab, select the series from the Series dropdown. The trip inherits the series name and code if it was created as part of the series.
Viewing Trips in a Series
From the Series list, click a series to filter the trips list to show only trips belonging to that series.
Editing a Series
- Find the series in the list
- Click the edit action
- Update the name, code, slug, or status
- Click Save
Deleting a Series
- Find the series in the list
- Click the delete action

Deleting a series does not delete the trips within it — they simply become unassigned from any series.
