Series

Group related trips together under a series for easier browsing and management.

A trip series groups related trips together — typically multiple departures of the same travel experience throughout a season or year. For example, "Iceland Adventure" might be a series containing trips departing in June, July, and August. Series help both your staff and customers find all available dates for a particular experience.

How It Works

You create a series and then assign trips to it. The series automatically tracks aggregated statistics across all its trips: how many trips it contains, total turnover, total participants, and the first and last departure dates. When customers browse your portal, they can see all available departures for a series in one place.

Trips within a series share the same name and code by default — when you create a new trip and assign it to a series, the trip inherits the series name and code.

Series Properties

Each series has:

PropertyDescription
NameThe series name (e.g., "Iceland Adventure 2026")
CodeA short identifier code
SlugThe URL-friendly identifier used on the public portal
BookableWhether the series is available for booking on the public portal
ActiveWhether the series is active and visible

Aggregated Statistics

These are calculated automatically from the trips in the series:

StatisticDescription
Trip CountNumber of trips in the series
Total TurnoverCombined order revenue across all trips
Total ParticipantsTotal number of participants across all trips
First DepartureEarliest departure date among all trips
Last DepartureLatest departure date among all trips

Common Tasks

Creating a Series

  1. Navigate to the Series page (under Trips)
  2. Click Add
  3. Enter the series name, code, and slug
  4. Set whether the series is bookable and active
  5. Click Save

Assigning Trips to a Series

From a trip's Settings tab, select the series from the Series dropdown. The trip inherits the series name and code if it was created as part of the series.

Viewing Trips in a Series

From the Series list, click a series to filter the trips list to show only trips belonging to that series.

Editing a Series

  1. Find the series in the list
  2. Click the edit action
  3. Update the name, code, slug, or status
  4. Click Save

Deleting a Series

  1. Find the series in the list
  2. Click the delete action
  3. Confirm the deletion

Deleting a series does not delete the trips within it — they simply become unassigned from any series.

How It Connects

  • Trips — Trips can belong to a series. Creating a trip within a series inherits the series name and code.
  • Public Portal — Series group related departures together for customers browsing your booking portal.
  • Trips List — The trips list can be filtered by series to show all departures for a particular experience.
